Sightseeings

Greece's second largest island, Evia, is full of pretty sights.  From the wildlife habitats to the traditional fishing-villages, travellers enjoy the tour.  The reknowned healing spas of the area, the mythical beaches with the dense pines lagging behind the sea and the seaside taverns as well, constitute the coastline of North Evia, which combines it all.

You should visit...
- The picturesque coffee-house “KYMA” on the beach of Edipsos.
-The old hydrotherapy center, a beautiful neoclassical building where you can see the exhibition of ancient findings.
-The neo-classical Town-Hall of Edipsos, that used to function as a high school.
-The roman baths at Sylla’s cave close to St Anargyroi springs.
-The convent of Saint George with some outstanding religious wall-paintings, near the small village “Ilia”.
-The village of Polylofos that holds a feeling of the past glory of Edipsos.
-The verdant pine tree forest, only 10 km out of Edipsos.
-The Platania,a very special location on the edge of the town, where thic-set platans create a pastoral scene of natural calmness.
-The “Nautilus Museum”, a sea-life museum that is truly one of a kind. It exhibits a collection of shells, fossils, corals and findings from the greek seas as well as the seas of other countries.
